Laurence Fischer, the three-time World and seven-time European karate champion, founded Fight For Dignity in 2017. The organisation aids women victims of violence by using sport to place the human body at the centre of the resilience-building and rehabilitation process. The conclusion of her talk about the association’s activities, in particular those carried out in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, could not be clearer: "Sport contributes to regaining lost dignity and helps promote human rights and peace."
