Launched by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in partnership with the Sport en Commun platform, this initiative aims to raise awareness among structures by inviting them to reflect on the values of sport as fundamental principles of peaceful and inclusive societies.

Description 

This contest is intended for African non-profit organisations, the competition consists of producing a photography illustrating the following message: “Sport for Peace in one image“.
3 photos will be selected by a jury composed of members of JICA, members of Sport en Commun and elite athletes including Isabelle Yacoubou, Diana Gandega, both Champions for Peace (Peace & Sport) and Louis Saha, former Premier League footballer and board member of Football for Peace.

The 3 winners will each win a pack of 30 JICA x Sport en Commun equipment kits containing shirts, bags, caps, pants, towels, drinking bottles, training bibs, bracelets, a timer and a whistle.

The 3 photos selected will be published on the Organiser’s websites and Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn accounts on April 6th on the sidelines of the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace.

Eligibility criteria

  • Be a non-profit organization registered in an African country
  • Be registered on the Sport en Commun platform (click here if not already done)
  • Guarantee the originality and authenticity of the proposed photo
  • Make a commitment to respect the image rights of the persons featured in the proposed photo
  • Complete the dedicated application form once connected

 

The competition will be open on March 10th, 2021 at 5 pm (GMT). The deadline for submitting photos is March 20th, 2021 at 4 pm (GMT).
