The Paris 2024 Organising Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games and the Agence Française de Développement are launching together a social and environmental entrepreneurship programme in support of 24 projects with considerable social and environmental impacts, carried out by elite athletes: 16 projects in Africa and 8 in France. The initiative is launched just a few months after a cooperation agreement was signed by Paris 2024 and AFD for projects contributing to sustainable development through sport, in France and around the world.

Overview

The 8-month programme is set to start in February 2021 and will aim to support laureates in the implementation of their entrepreneurship projects contributing to the achievement of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in France and in Africa.

An Incubation programme dedicated to elite athletes

  • Face-to-face training workshops alongside athlete-entrepreneurs
  • Sessions with leading senior experts
