Overview
This initiative supports regional priorities in terms of inclusive access to sports practice, social inclusion, and economic development through sports. It aligns directly with high-potential physical and sports activity programs designed for people living with disabilities within the French-speaking community.

Program Description
The 2026 "Adapted Sport" Call for Projects, initiated by the General Secretariat of CONFEJES (Conférence des Ministres de la Jeunesse et des Sports de la Francophonie), aims to stimulate genuine interest among national organizations in developing impactful field initiatives. The program seeks to strengthen the reach of public policies on adapted sport and increase the number of organizations involved in this sector.

Funding
The total grant amount per project must range between a minimum of 1,000,000 FCFA and a maximum of 2,500,000 FCFA. The funding provided by CONFEJES is capped at 90% of the total project budget. A minimum of 10% co-funding (internal or external) of the total budget is strictly required from the applicant organization. Operational overheads, miscellaneous, and unexpected expenses are not eligible.

Thematic Priorities
  • Target Audience: People living with disabilities, as well as men or women leading organizations or sports clubs involved in promoting adapted sport.
  • Mandatory Partnerships: To maximize impact, projects must involve at least two partners, including at least one public authority (local or regional) and one private partner (association, federation, club).
  • Eligible Activities: Organization of specific sports events, promotional and awareness campaigns, or the creation of innovative tools dedicated to inclusive physical activity.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be legally recognized organizations that have been operational for more than 2 years (associations, NGOs, sports federations). Organizations must be established and implement their project in a CONFEJES member State or Government belonging to zones B, C, D, and E . The country of origin must be fully up to date with its annual membership contributions to the institution.

Key Conditions
  • Maximum Project Duration: The entirety of the project activities must not exceed a period of four (4) months.
  • Application Limits: An association or organization is no longer eligible if it has already received funding at least twice from CONFEJES.
  • Strict Formalism: The project must be written entirely in French, completed in Word format (Garamond font, size 11, 1.5 line spacing), strictly following the official 16-point structure. Any incomplete or non-compliant file will be automatically disqualified.
  • Submission Deadline: The grant application form, along with the estimated budget and required administrative documents, must be submitted by September 30, 2026, inclusive.
Target Organizations
Local associations, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), and national sports federations actively working towards the social integration and athletic development of people living with disabilities.

Key Opportunity Value
This fund provides direct financial support for project launching or scaling, high institutional visibility with national ministries of sports, and technical guidance through the CONFEJES network of National Sports Coordinators.

Expected Results
Strong proposals must demonstrate a clear link between the proposed physical activities and the reinforcement of local inclusion policies. They must present precise performance indicators, a measurable impact on the ground, and a viable sustainability plan following the 4-month execution period.
