The "Impact of Cricket Report" is the ECB's first comprehensive analysis of how cricket affects people and communities in England and Wales. The report highlights the positive outcomes of the sport, such as helping people stay fit, supporting mental wellbeing, and fostering local connections. Key findings include that 93% of players believe cricket keeps them healthy, 83% of parents say it boosts their child's confidence, and three-quarters of volunteers report learning new skills. While the report shows clear benefits, it also identifies areas for improvement, such as increasing inclusivity and diversity in the sport. The ECB plans to focus on these areas in the coming years, with specific action plans to increase access and tackle barriers for underrepresented groups. The report underscores the vital role of volunteers, coaches, and partners in driving cricket's positive impact, while also acknowledging the need for continued efforts to create lasting change.
