This report emphasizes the underexplored social impacts of aquatic facilities, including their role in fostering social infrastructure—encompassing people, places, policies, and programs. A survey of 78 facilities and interviews with 28 participants revealed the diverse programs and activities driving these impacts. Narratives highlight how facilities create social value and suggest a framework for maximizing these outcomes. The findings advocate for integrating physical facilities with broader social infrastructure to sustain and enhance community benefits
