ONSIDE MENA
Overview
ONSIDE MENA is designed to support individuals and grassroots, community-based organisations, collectives, groups and cooperatives led by girls and women and governed by feminist principles.
The fund will provide unrestricted finance to organisations and groups working to support girls and women in exercising their right to play and thus advancing gender justice in sport. Organisations and groups are free to decide how to best use the funds, in line with the vision, mission and objectives of the ONSIDE Fund.
Key information
- Geographical coverage: MENA countries including the following african countries:Algeria, Chad, Egypt, Eritrea, Lybia, Mali, Mauritania, Morroco, Niger, Tunisia, Western Sahara, Sudan, Somalia, Moroccan Sahara…etc.
- Beneficiaries: Groups and organisations (registered or no) led by girls, women and non-binary individuals; individuals such as self-identified women, non-binary and other marginalised people
- Theme: Gender justice in sports
- Type of support: $2,500-$10,000 financial support for organisations and $2,500-$5000 support for individuals
- Selection method: Call for application with a two-stage selection process
- Application language: Arabic- French-English
Eligibility criteria
- individuals and grassroots, community-based organisations, collectives, groups and cooperatives led by girls and women and governed by feminist principles
- Organisations led by at least 60% of women and girls, and based in the MENA Region (Algeria, Chad, Egypt, Eritrea, Lybia, Mali, Mauritania, Morroco, Niger,Tunisia, Western Sahara, Sudan, Somalia, Moroccan, Sahara…etc.)
- Applying organisations and collectives must have an operating income of less than 150,000 USD
- It is highly recommended for organisations to apply for no more than 50% of their annual income
