GSW Social Booster 2021 – Call for applications
General overview
The GSW Social Booster is a coaching programme aimed at identifying, promoting and supporting projects with a societal impact through sport, worldwide. Led by Global Sports Week in partnership with 17 Sport, it aims to achieve the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
The 2021 edition of the GSW Social Booster is aimed at NGOs and social business organisations working on solutions that meet one or more of the Sustainable Development Goals. The 8 most relevant projects will be selected and will have the opportunity to present their solutions during Global Sports Week 2021 which will take place from 1 to 5 February 2021, with events in Paris, Beijing, Tokyo, Milan, Dakar, Los Angeles and online.
The Sustainable Development Goals concerned are :
- SDG 3 : Good health and well-being
- SDG 4 : Quality education
- SDG 5 : Gender equality
- SDG 13 : Climate action
Finalists will have the opportunity to present their solutions to investors and leaders in the sports industry. They will also benefit from additional visibility through communications from GSW Paris and 17 Sport around the event.
After the event, the winners will benefit from a three-month acceleration programme and strategic and structural support for their organisation and/or project.
Eligibility criteria
- Validation of the effectiveness of the principle: the programme targets projects that have already demonstrated the effectiveness and scalability of their model
- Growth potential: the GSW Booster programme will help project leaders to find the best partners to increase their social impact
The call for applications is open from 4 November to 4 December 2020.
