Due to the health context, the first edition of the Sport Impact Awards, initially scheduled for February 8, will finally take place on March 22 at the Pullman Hotel in Dakar.

The Sport Impact Awards ceremony, which will be held for the first time in Dakar this year, is intended to be a convivial moment of meetings, exchanges and highlighting of initiatives using sport for development.

Due to the health situation, the event could not be held on February 8 and has been postponed to March 22, 2022.

The Sport Impact Awards ceremony aims to encourage the sharing of experiences in order to replicate the best projects on a continental scale. It will be an opportunity to promote and reward the commitment of a selection of actors through the awarding of 10 trophies during this first edition: 

  • Best Sport & Inclusion Initiative
  • Best Sport & Education Initiative
  • Best Sport & Gender Initiative
  • Best Sport & Health Initiative
  • Best Initiative Sport & Innovation
  • Infrastructure of the Year
  • Public Action of the Year
  • Sport Competition of the Year
  • Sport Impact Leaders Project
  • Special Jury Prize

The event will be punctuated by an auction of collector’s jerseys and sports equipment donated by our Sport Impact Leaders. The funds raised from this auction will be donated to the organisation that wins the Jury’s Special Prize.
