Pass-SPORT
Context
The Covid-19 has disrupted the local economic fabric, human relations and reinforced gender inequalities. A one-month field diagnosis carried out by SFSF in 2021 established that 75% of young people aged 16-25 are unemployed. According to the same study, 60% of girls aged between 13 and 24 have had unwanted pregnancies, exposing them to maternal mortality, school drop-out and socio-economic insecurity.
Relying on the awareness-raising power of sport, SFSF uses physical activity as a means to fight against unwanted pregnancies. This project is therefore part of a context of awareness-raising and prevention of mortality among young girls and children in Benin.
