Social Education and Sport Training Center project
Context
Over the last ten years, Congo witnessed a return to civil peace and security. Yet, young people find themselves in need of guidance. In 2021, UNICEF affirms that 61% of under 18 years old Congolese live in multidimensional poverty and youth seeking their first job make up 79.4% of job seekers. This situation contributes to rising tensions in the country, notably in the capital city, Brazzaville.
This project of sport and social training centre will offer educational, sport and cultural activities to guide young people in their daily life and channel youth energy to prevent rising tensions.

- Build a centre teaching human values and fundamental social competences for youth
- Fight for gender equality and against discriminations
- Encourage social and cultural exchanges between Congolese and foreign young people
- Facilitate young talents orientation towards other structures for them to develop and exploit the potential this talent
Activities
- Organisation of sport and social interactive activities
- Provide diverse support to vulnerable children registered in the centre
- Training and capacity building for trainers and youth
- Communicate about the centre
- Sell sport articles for the development of the centre (conditioned on the continuing partnership with Equmenia)
